Technology is a dynamic, driving force in modern life and has evolved into such a high level of sophistication that is difficult to comprehend their economic, social and cultural impact. Consequently, citizens often feel they lack control over their daily lives because they do not understand technological changes or the reasons for them. Tech Ed courses are designed to help prepare students to understand technological innovation, the productivity of technology, the impact of technology on the quality of life and the need for critical evaluation of the social changes resulting from technological changes. To do so we must prepare students to live knowledgeably and productively in a technology-based society.
